This article is not to print the news, but to point out inconsistencies in the news of the new war between Israel and Iran, and the USA. Is it finished after a 12-day period? We’ll hope, but things occur fast, and this paper is published on the 1st of the month. By that date (at this writing 4 days away) much could change.
Some (Israel government, USA’s Trump administration, etc.) reports say Iran was working towards having nuclear weapons and came fairly close. Others (United Nations IAEA, Director of (American) National Intelligence, Iran itself) say Iran doesn’t want nuclear weapons and has not worked towards any since 2003. All agree Iran has been enriching uranium, which it would need for nuclear power plants. They have one existing operating power plant with more presently under construction. All the parties have agreed Iran has the right to generate and use nuclear power.
Israel and the U.S. administration have (rightly or wrongly) considered Iran a threat or “enemy” because they are allies and supporters generally of Shia Muslim countries/groups. The Shia/Sunni animosity is beyond the scope of this article, but the bones of contention are Palestinians, Hezbollah Lebanese, Houthis, and certain groups in Iraq and Syria, as they engage in occasional acts of war on Israel. The Shia/Sunni animosity is the reason there is not universal Muslim rallying against Israel’s wars.
Curious ambiguities include the USA’s attacks on Iran’s three underground nuclear enrichment facilities using “bunker-buster bombs”, which President Trump announced had obliterated the sites.
Other sources reported: major damage (CNN), some damage (New York Times), little damage (Iran sources). Seymour Hersch, a longtime reliable scoop reporter, says his inside military intel told him the American attacks were designed only to seal the entry routes for many years (since they knew the bombs would not get nearly deep enough) effective possibly up to 180-foot depth while the bunkers are 300 feet deep. Israel curiously agreed to an immediate cease-fire, because they were being trounced, and badly outgunned by Iran’s missiles. Some versions knew all along there is no Iranian intent to create nuclear bombs, but rather want regime change in Iran where the new power will be a pussycat, causing them no trouble.
Another very interesting version of events is from JohnHelmers.com, a western journalist working from Moscow. Here, Israel (population 9 million) needs satellite assistance and more weapons assistance from Daddy (the USA). Iran (population 90 million) needs similar assistance from Russia. Trump and Putin agreed to push for an end thusly – if USA doesn’t forcefully and rapidly intervene for peace in Ukraine, Russia will not intervene (give support) for Iran. Could this be?
And why, why, why such a need to go against Iran? What have they really done against the USA?
Nothing. What have they really done against Israel? Nothing direct. And we don’t know regarding indirect like helping Hezbollah, etc.
Why is the USA so unconditionally super supportive of some seemingly terrible things Israel does?
And another thing to think about, the American cost in hard dollars made our attack nothing short of amazing. The scope of the operation: heavy bombers starting in Missouri, flying to Iran to drop many expensive bombs, being refueled in the air multiple times, then flying back empty. Support operations, a total 125 aircraft in the attack plan, and the cost of all the bombs was certainly above $1 billion. See a breakdown in an article concluding several $ billion in “Trump’s Operation Midnight Hammer” by D. Bosnic. InfoBrics.org also published in GlobalResearch.Ca.
Why spend that amount on an attack they must have known could not do the stated intention?
Lastly, a reminder of Trump’s campaign promises such as “I will not start another foreign war,” or “my proudest legacy will be that of a peacemaker and unifier.” Pray.
