From Pizzagate to the Epstein files, the shoe is on the other foot now

For decades, Republican politicians have been running on a platform accusing the LGBTQ+ community of being pedophiles and groomers. They campaigned last year on a promise to release the Epstein files, supposedly exposing big name Democrats as being neck deep in the largest pedophilia and sex trafficking ring in history.

But a funny thing happened on the road to the White House. They won the election, and their minions did not forget that promise and are demanding it be kept. There’s just one slight problem: It’s not only Democrats in the files. President Donald Trump is in there too. A lot!

And now the Grand Old Party (GOP) has turned into the Guardians of Pedophiles. Since finding out their orange, diaper-clad leader may very well be a participant in the sex trafficking and raping of underage girls, some as young as twelve, they’ve turned into the Three Wise Monkeys who “see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil.”

“Accuse the other side of which you’re guilty,” is a famous quote by Nazi propaganda expert Joseph Goebbels. During the 2016 presidential campaign, the right spread a conspiracy theory that Hillary Clinton engaged in a pedophilia ring being ran out of a Washington D.C. pizza restaurant. No, really!

Texas Governor Greg Abbott will sign the “Bathroom Bill.” On X he said, “Texans deserve privacy and safety. I will soon sign the Texas Women’s Privacy Act to ensure bathrooms and changing rooms in schools, universities, prisons, and other government buildings are separated by biological sex. In Texas, there are only two sexes: male and female.”

The bill is clearly aimed at the trans population and to further separate the LGBTQ+ community from other Texans. The bill’s primary sponsor, Texas State Senator Mayes Middleton (R), said, “Texas will not bend to the woke left’s gender delusions, and we will not allow men into women’s private spaces.”

Another of the bill’s sponsors, State Rep. Angelia Orr (R), said, “When it comes to choosing my little girls’ safety and a grown man’s bathroom preferences, I’m going to choose my little girls every time.” Middleton and Orr, as well as Abbott, are all Trump bootlickers while proclaiming they are protecting girls.

“Far right and extremist voices have launched a significant attack against the LGBTQ+ community in 2021-2022, demonizing people via repeated false claims that LGBTQ+ people are ‘pedophiles’ who are ‘grooming’ children to abuse them. This false and malicious narrative has been weaponized to label the LGBTQ+ community as ‘groomers’ and has fueled a slew of hostile legislation and policies aimed at erasing the discussion of LGBTQ+ related issues in schools, removing LGBTQ+ books from schools and public libraries and, especially, to ostracize, defame and harass transgender people,” wrote the Anti-Defamation League in a 2022 article.

School boards all across Texas are voting to ban books with LGBTQ+ characters or diversity themes, they claim promote pedophilia or grooming of children. Those same school board members will then put on their red hats, hop in their F-150s, and go home to watch Fox News showing on a loop, with Trump proclaiming the Epstein files are a “Democrat hoax.”

In 2023, Texas passed a law that would restrict minors from drag shows, claiming they were indoctrinating and grooming children. The law was passed by a Republican led legislature and signed into law by a Republican governor, who are all supporting the largest pedophilia cover-up in U.S. history.

A federal judge struck down the law as unconstitutional, finding that it restricted free speech.

The Epstein Files are the thousands of pages of documents related to the criminal and civil investigations of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and his associate Ghislaine Maxwell. They supposedly contain a client list of powerful individuals, including Presidents Bill Clinton and Donald Trump, and Britain’s Prince Andrew.

Before being elected, Trump promised to release the files, but he has changed his mind since becoming president. Hmm. I wonder why. Elected officials like House Speaker Mike Johnson have repeatedly delayed a vote on releasing the files, and the Senate outright voted against it.

After decades of Republicans calling LGBTQ+ people pedophiles and groomers, the proverbial shoe is on the other foot. If they really want to expose pedophiles, all they need to do is look inside their own party.
