Since 1994 October has been recognized as LGBTQ History Month. This month was chosen to coincide with the anniversaries of the first and second Marches on Washington in 1979 and 1987. Additionally, October 11 is National Coming Out Day.
While a majority of cities hold Pride celebrations in June, the month of the Stonewall riots, more and more places are holding celebrations in the fall, when the weather is more conducive to being outside.
Bryan
OUToberfest 2025 will be held in Bryan on Saturday, October 18 from 1-6 PM in downtown Bryan. “After the success of the first Pride Community Center in October 2024 we’re excited for OUToberfest 2025 the Brazos Valley Pride Festival, located right in downtown Bryan, Texas! Come check out the artisan market, food and drink vendors, local non-profit and community resources, big stage performances, and more,” reads the website announcement.
Galveston
Downtown Galveston will burst into full bloom as the Third Coast PrideFest Parade rolls along the Strand on Sunday, October 19, 2025. This year’s theme is “Love Grows Here.” It begins at 2 PM.
The parade will feature walking groups, petal-powered golf carts, flower-decked floats, bikes, and an assortment of floats and vehicles.

The Mister and Miss Third Coast Pride Festival Pageant will be held on October 10 at Island Time Beach Bar and Grill.
Katy
This year’s Pride weekend kicks off with a lively Piano Bar Speakeasy Party on Thursday, October 16, followed by the community-wide festival on Saturday, October 18 from 11AM – 4PM. Both events promise unforgettable entertainment, community connection, and opportunities to celebrate authenticity and inclusion.

The Woodlands
The Woodlands Pride Festival 2025 will occur on Saturday, October 25 at 11 AM at Town Green Park, 2099 Lake Robbins Drive in The Woodlands. This is the seventh annual event with
last’s year’s festival drawing nearly 10,000 attendees.
The Woodlands Pride Festival and celebration aims to promote inclusivity, acceptance, and support
for the LGBTQ+ community in the area. The festival features live music, entertainment, food endors, and more.
