“Gays are created due [to] the anal sex of a straight couple
and only if the woman is in to it. If that happens, the feeling of pleasure the
woman feels is transmitted to the unborn child.â€
—Cyprus LGBTI rights group Accept’s translation of The Most Reverend Metropolitan Neophytos (Masouras) of Morfou of the Church of Cyprus. The bishop also claims that God has given holy men the ability to tell if a man is gay by smelling him. Via LGBTQnation.com
“I just felt so convicted in my spirit that it wasn’t my job
to wear this jersey. I gave myself three days to just seek and pray and
determine what he was asking me to do in this situation… I knew in my spirit I
was doing the right thing. I knew I was being obedient.â€

“Some people thought I was worried about all this mess when
the LGBTQ or whoever they was coming after me. I told them I didn’t know
nothing about no LGBTQ. For all I know, it means Let God Be True Quickly.â€
—Houston gospel singer Kim Burrell, who in 2017 called gay men and women perverted, said they were embarrassing the church, and prophesied that people playing with “that homosexual spirit†would die from it. Via MadameNoire.com
“As long as I was going to take part in any way, he [Goodman’s
father] could not have his service there. They’re punishing my dad for a
lifestyle choice I’ve made. It’s not me up there in a casket. It’s him. Of
course the church doesn’t agree with my lifestyle. And [they] asked me if I
would be OK coming and sitting there alone, knowing my partner could not come,
and that if he did come, he would be asked to leave.â€

“We’re about 72 hours from a coup. Be prepared that you’re
going to turn on the television and see helicopters hovering over the roof of
the White House with men clad in black repelling down ropes, entering into the
White House. Be prepared for a shootout in the White House as Secret Service
agents shoot commandos coming in to arrest President Trump. That is how close
we are to a revolution. Be prepared for a mob — a leftist mob — to tear down
the gates, the fence at the White House. And to go into the White House and to
drag him out with his family and decapitate them on the lawn of the White
House.â€

“Fuller has a
nondiscrimination policy on their website. … They talk about diversity and
inclusion, but they are not including LGBTQ persons in that diversity. I think
they need to be clearer. One of the classes that I was withdrawn from was a
class called ‘Practices of Community.’ … It’s really challenging for me for a
school to teach that and then not practice community.â€
—Former Fuller Theological Seminary student, Joanna Maxon. After Maxon turned over a copy of her tax return, filed jointly with her wife as part of her annual financial aid application, a complaint about her marriage was brought to the dean. In October 2018, less than a year before she expected to graduate with her master’s degree, she was dismissed. Via GetReligion.org
“I have lived in repentance for the past several years,
repenting of my self-righteousness, my fear-based approach to life, the teaching
of my books, my views of women in the church, and my approach to parenting to
name a few. But I specifically want to add to this list now: to the LGBTQ+
community, I want to say that I am sorry for the views that I taught in my
books and as a pastor regarding sexuality. I regret standing against marriage
equality, for not affirming you and your place in the church, and for any ways
that my writing and speaking contributed to a culture of exclusion and bigotry.
I hope you can forgive me.â€
