KATY PRIDE ANNOUNCES GRAND MARSHALS, KICK-OFF PARTY AND FULL LINEUP FOR 2025 CELEBRATION
Katy Pride LGBTQ Inc. is proud to announce its 2025 Grand Marshals who will lead the 3rd Annual Katy Pride Celebration on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at Typhoon Texas Waterpark.
Grand Marshal: Servando Arellano-Torres, President of SOMOS Loud Houston (he/him)
Ally Grand Marshal: Jon Rosenthal, Texas State Representative District 135 (he/him)
Youth Grand Marshal: Cameron Samuels, Executive Director of Students Engaged in Advancing Texas (they/them)
This year’s Pride weekend kicks off with a lively Piano Bar Speakeasy Party on Thursday, October 16, followed by the community-wide festival on Saturday, October 18 from 11AM – 4PM. Both events promise unforgettable entertainment, community connection, and opportunities to celebrate authenticity and inclusion.
Piano Bar Speakeasy Kick-off Party (Ages 18+)

Kick off Pride weekend in style at the Piano Bar Speakeasy! Guests will enjoy an evening of entertainment, cocktails, and community connection in an intimate setting. The event is sponsored by The Alley Theatre. The bar is sponsored by The Woodlands Pride, and attendees who bring a book donation for their Banned Book Library will receive one complimentary drink (limit one person, regardless of how many books are donated). Sweet treats are sponsored by Sugar Mami Sweetz. Space is limited, and advance tickets are required.

The highlight of Pride weekend will feature a full day of entertainment and community programming for all ages. The celebration will begin with the official recognition of the 2025 Grand Marshals, followed by the Parade around the Park to kick off the event.
Festival highlights include:
Main Stage Entertainment featuring DJ CrazyV, Drag Queen Serena Spellman, Drag King Kian Kismet, and Fierce & Free: A Transparent Closet Runway show
Kids Zone with activities for families and children including inflatables, yard games, crafts, and more.
Education & Advocacy Alley will include panel discussions hosted by Trans Truth Podcast and Community Advocate, Meghan Fairbanks, The Houston Banner Project on display, Voter education information and more
Reading Under the Rainbow: Pride Story Time sponsored by Katy Budget Books, with readings by Drag Queen Serena Spellman and Drag King Kian Kismet
Over 60 vendors, multiple food trucks, and an adult bar
This free event welcomes all ages and provides a safe, joyful space to celebrate diversity, authenticity, and community
