Happy Weedsday, beautiful people!

As you know, cannabis has come a long way and there is a variety of ways to consume it in a healthy way. By now many of us know or have heard of several different ways to intake cannabis, ranging from smoking it to eating it. Many people who could benefit from the medical aspect of this plant choose not to because of the smell, or because they don’t like to smoke.

So today I want to talk about tinctures. This is the least commonly recognized way to consume cannabis. Although not as popular as other methods, it has a few benefits over other methods of consumption of THC.

According to Wikipedia.com, “tincture of cannabis, sometimes known as green dragon, is an alcoholic extract of cannabis. Cannabis tinctures are used in the production of specific extracts, like nabiximols.â€

Tinctures give the person medicating greater control over dosing, is much more discreet and, in my opinion, is an amazing way to medicate.

The easiest way to use tincture is to just drop the desired amount of tincture right into your mouth and swallow it. however. This is the slowest method of consumption, effects-wise, however; it takes about as long as edibles to feel the effects.

You can also ingest it sublingually. If you are looking for a faster and stronger onset of effects, the sublingual method of consumption is the way to go. All you do for this method is simply drop the appropriate dosage under your tongue. Wait approximately half a minute and swallow.

Last but not least, this third way of consumption is the most common way to utilize tincture, and is also really simple to do. Just drop your chosen dose of your favorite tincture directly into any food or beverage, drop it right into your mouth, and swallow it. The onset of the effects generally takes about as long as it does for edibles to kick in. It’s just that easy!
