The streets of downtown Galveston were alive with rainbow flags, banners, and fabulousness as Third Coast Pride held its first Pride Parade on October 22. The Sunday afternoon weather was perfect, if not just a little warm, as parade revelers strolled down The Strand and Mechanic Streets.Â
“Third Coast PrideFest PARADE was an absolute BLAST!! The energy and overall reception was amazing!! Thanks to everyone who made it a great day!!†wrote Michael Cassavaugh on Island Time’s Facebook page.Â
Parade participant Lucio Nieto, who provided the pictures for this article said, “Thank you to our fabulous Galveston community for coming OUT and celebrating us on our own streets — in our own neighborhood. Galveston, you are HOME.â€Â
