Happy Weedsday, my friends!
Over the holidays, I have gifted a book titled The CBD Oil Solution by Dr. Rachna Patel, Dr. Patel is an internationally recognized expert in the field of medical cannabis, and this book has some amazing recipes in it that I am so excited to try! From easing inflammation to helping alleviate skin problems, this cannabinoid is one amazing piece of nature.
In reading this book I found a recipe that I wanted to share with all of y’all. I’ve recently tried this one when I was searching for a way to fix an upset stomach. This tea has a blend of ginger root, spearmint, and CBD, and it aids very well with digestion. It also soothes that icky nauseous feeling we sometimes get.
I really love that nature provides natural solutions to so many of our health annoyances. So the next time you or a loved one has an upset tummy, skip the Pepto and serve up some tummy tea!
TUMMY TEA
2½ cups (590ml) water
3 thumb-sized pieces of ginger root, finely chopped (or more if you like the stronger ginger flavor)
2 sprigs of fresh spearmint
2 tablespoons (30ml) whole milk
2 servings of CBD oil (no more than 1 teaspoon or 5ml total)
2 teaspoons honey or another sweetener
In a small saucepan mix the water, chopped ginger, and spearmint. Place over medium heat and bring to a simmer. Cover and simmer for about 15 minutes. While the ginger and mint are simmering, warm the milk and CBD oil gently in a small saucepan over low heat or in the microwave for 30 seconds. Whisk thoroughly to combine. Remove the ginger and mint water from the heat and strain the liquid into individual cups. Discard the solids. Add the warm milk and CBD mixture in even amounts to each cup. Add a half-teaspoon of the honey to each cup and whisk thoroughly. Serve immediately. Servings: 2 Preparation time: 20 Minutes. Yield: 2 cups or 500ml.
