Drive ‘N Drag, Featuring A Superhero Cast of Favorites from RuPaul’s Drag Race, Arrives in Houston

Bianca Del Rio and the super queens of RuPaul’s Drag Race are on a mission to save the world from the debacle that was 2020. “Suit up, find your sidekick, and come along for one helluva new adventure as we werq to rid the USA of COVID and Trump,†says Bianca.
Drive ‘N Drag Saves 2021 will be a brand-new experience for drag fans. Attendees will be able to enjoy the live theatrical extravaganza from the safety of inside or beside their cars. There will be concert style set and lighting with Jumbotron screens and sound pumped from the stage and through every car via FM transmitters.
Joining Bianca Del Rio in the show will be the super galactic Aquaria; the luminous Asia O’Hara; the incredible she-hulk Kameron Michaels; the dazzling Naomi Smalls; the winged warrior Plastique and the seductive villain, Violet Chachki.
“We’re excited to hit the road again in 2021,†exclaims the star. “Drive ‘N Drag Saves 2021 will be a final look back at the awful year that was 2020 and whisk drag fans to a more hopeful and brighter future.â€
We spoke with Bianca from her home in Palm Springs.
What a year we’ve been through. America needs the help of drag queens now more than ever!
Bianca Del Rio: We all need an escape. We need entertainment! And yes, we need drag queens, even if the only safe way to see them is in a parking lot.
In Drive ‘N Drag, you play the role of Superc-nt. Who is she and why were you the perfect queen for the role?
Bianca Del Rio: All of the other roles called for pretty and glamorous queens and let’s face, I’m too ugly! I’m the one queen that really needs a face mask. And truthfully, being a c-nt has always been my superpower.
Is this the role of a lifetime?
Bianca Del Rio: Oh yes, growing up, I dreamed of playing a superhero like Wonder Woman. I wanted to play any role that required makeup, really. Remember Madame, that little old hag puppet from the 70s? I would be a great Madame! I’d love to play her although I wouldn’t need Wayland Flowers’ hand up my ass.
Is touring across the country with all the world’s most famous queens as glamorous as it sounds?
Bianca Del Rio: These queens, famous? You need to get out more.

Bianca Del Rio: Who’s she?
She won the tenth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race!
Bianca Del Rio: I stopped watching after my season. But to answer your question, I don’t get to travel much with all the girls like I used to so it’s kinda fun connecting with everyone. We’re all so nice to each other the first day. By the next morning, we’re trying to kill each other.
What do you enjoy most about meeting your fans face-to-face?
Bianca Del Rio: It’s always fun because people think I’m nicer and taller than they expected. That’s probably the thing I miss most since the pandemic; meeting people.
What is the #1 request you get from fans?
Bianca Del Rio: To be mean to them! Isn’t that crazy? I’m not mean until I’m given a reason to be mean. Cash is a good reason.
Have you ever received a request from a fan that you wouldn’t do?
Bianca Del Rio: Only silly things like ‘marry me’ which I would never do because I don’t want no one taking my money!
Will you take the vaccine when allowed? Bianca Del Rio: Hell yes! I don’t get these anti-vaxxers who refuse to take the vaccine because they fear what’s in it yet I’ll catch them in a stall sniffing cocaine off a dirty key.
Where are drag queens on the vaccine waiting list?
Bianca Del Rio: I’m like 85 years old so I should be at the top of the list.
What are your hopes for 2021?
After four years of Donald Trump, the bar is beyond low so we can only hope for a better year. It will never be normal again, but I look forward to, at least, a more restful place with less chaos and drama. My advice to all is tread lightly and keep spirits up because we’re heading in the right direction, I think.
